Green Turtle status - good news!

The International Union for Conservation of Nature has just updated the green turtle’s status, upgrading it from “endangered” to “least concern”.

The outcome is thanks to conservation efforts in various global locales. Activities include protecting nesting sites, improving fishing tackle design and hunting regulations.
